Document Flagged as Edited
This is often a false positive. Your phone may have auto-processed the photo before you uploaded it.
What to try
Take a fresh photo with your phone’s default camera app. Do not crop, rotate, or adjust it afterward. Upload immediately.
If that still gets flagged:
- Try a different device. Some phones apply invisible enhancements (HDR, AI sharpening, auto-contrast) that trigger the flag. A different phone or tablet often solves it.
- Upload a PDF instead. If you have a PDF version of the document (bank statement, utility bill), use that. PDFs rarely trigger this check.
- Turn off camera enhancements. Disable HDR, auto-enhance, AI photo mode, and document mode. Use basic photo mode.
Things that look like editing but are not your fault:
- Cropping or rotating in your phone’s gallery app
- iOS Photos “auto-enhance” applied silently
- Scanner apps that adjust contrast or straighten the image
Avoid opening the photo in any app before uploading. Do not use markup, annotate, or scan features.
Still not working?
If you have uploaded a completely unedited photo from a different device and it is still flagged, contact support. Mention your phone model — this helps investigate whether it is a device-specific false positive.
