How to fix

The proof of address step asks for a document from a utility provider, bank, landlord, or government office — showing your name, your current address, dated within the last 3 months.

Documents that work:

• ✅ Utility bill — electricity, gas, water, or internet
• ✅ Bank statement — exported PDF from your bank
• ✅ Government letter — tax notice, registration extract, social security letter
• ✅ Lease agreement — official rental contract with your name and current address

Documents that don’t work, even if they show an address:

• ❌ Passport — any country, any page
• ❌ National ID card or plastic photo ID
• ❌ Driver’s licence
• ❌ Residence permit — goes in the identity step

Watch out for

• The document must show your name — not your spouse’s, parent’s, or landlord’s
• A banking app screenshot is not a statement — export the PDF
• All four corners visible, no blur, no cropping
