How to fix

Your Karta Pobytu confirms your right to stay in Poland. It does not confirm your current address. The proof of address step requires a document from an independent source showing where you live now.

Accepted as proof of address:

• Polish bank statement PDF — from mBank, PKO BP, ING, Santander, or any Polish bank. Must show your Polish address.
• Utility bill — electricity, gas, water, or internet. Must show your name and Polish address, issued within the last 3 months.
• ZUS letter or tax office letter (Urząd Skarbowy) — official correspondence showing your address.
• Zaświadczenie o zameldowaniu — registration certificate from your local Urząd Gminy.

All documents: issued within 3 months, your full name and Polish address clearly visible.

How to get a Polish bank statement PDF

1. Log in to your Polish bank app or online banking
2. Go to Account or Statements
3. Select the last 1–3 months
4. Download as PDF
5. Upload the file directly — do not screenshot it

Watch out for

• Ukrainian documents — a utility bill from Ukraine will not confirm a Polish address. Use a Polish document.
• Karta Pobytu address — your residence permit may show an address. It still does not work as proof of address — the slot requires a separate document.
• Old documents — only documents from the last 3 months are accepted.
