Proof of Address Rejected — Document Doesn’t Meet Requirements
Check your document against the list below, then upload a corrected version or a different document.
How to fix
Your document type is correct, but it didn’t pass the content check. Go through this checklist before uploading again:
- Dated within the last 3 months — older documents get rejected
- Your full name on the document — must match your profile name exactly; bills in a landlord’s or parent’s name don’t count
- Full address visible — not cropped, not blurred, every line readable
- Clear photo or exported PDF — no screenshots, no photos of a screen
Documents that work:
- ✅ Utility bill — electricity, gas, water, internet (your name + address + date)
- ✅ Bank statement — from your primary account, last 3 months
- ✅ Lease agreement — official rental contract with your name and address
- ✅ Government letter — tax notice, social security letter, registration document
Watch out for
- A bill in your landlord’s name won’t pass — even if you live at that address
- If your document is a PDF, export it from the source — don’t photograph your screen
- Lease agreements often don’t have a monthly date — use a utility bill or bank statement if you need to prove the 3-month requirement
