Quickest path

Občanský průkaz (Czech ID card) + bank statement PDF from your Czech bank (Česká spořitelna, ČSOB, Komerční banka, Raiffeisenbank, Fio banka, etc.).

For Ukrainians in Czechia: Povolení k pobytu (residence permit) or Ukrainian international passport + Czech bank statement PDF.

Identity documents

• Občanský průkaz (Czech ID card) — best option for Czech citizens. Both sides required.
• Czech passport — accepted.
• Povolení k pobytu (residence permit) — accepted for foreign residents. Both sides required.
• EU/EEA national ID card — accepted.
• Ukrainian international passport — accepted for Ukrainian residents in Czechia.

Proof of address

• Bank statement PDF — from any Czech bank (Česká spořitelna, ČSOB, Komerční banka, Raiffeisenbank, Fio banka, Air Bank, mBank CZ, Moneta Money Bank).
• Utility bill — electricity (ČEZ), gas (innogy, E.ON), water, internet. Must show name and address.
• Tax office letter — from Finanční úřad.
• Health insurance statement — from VZP, ČPZP, or other Czech health insurer.
• Potvrzení o přechodném pobytu — residence registration certificate from Cizinecká policie (for foreign residents).

All documents: issued within 3 months, full name and Czech address visible, PDF format.

For Ukrainians in Czechia

Your proof of address must be a Czech document. A Ukrainian document will not work for a Czech address.

Use a Czech bank statement or utility bill showing your Czech address.

Name transliteration

Your passport and Czech documents may spell your name differently (e.g. SHEVCHENKO vs ŠEVČENKO). Make sure your account name matches your passport spelling.

Address mismatch

The address in your account profile must match the address on your proof-of-address document. If you moved, update your profile before uploading a new document.

Common issues in Czechia

Wrong document type for proof of address. Not every official-looking document qualifies. Accepted: bank statements, utility bills, tax office letters, health insurance statements, residence registration. Rejected: payslips, employment contracts, delivery receipts.

Address on document does not match profile. The address in your account must match the address on your proof-of-address document exactly. This is the second most common rejection reason.

Screenshots rejected. Download the actual PDF statement from your bank app or online banking. Screenshots of a bank screen will be rejected.

Edited or modified documents. Documents that show signs of graphic editing are rejected immediately. Always upload the original PDF as downloaded from your bank or provider.

Missing back side of ID. Občanský průkaz and Povolení k pobytu require front and back. Do not skip the second photo.

Old documents. Only documents from the last 3 months are accepted.
