Quickest path

International passport + bank statement PDF from your banking app (GTBank, Access Bank, First Bank, UBA, Zenith, etc.).

Download the statement as PDF — do not screenshot it.

Identity documents

• International passport — best option, widely accepted.
• National ID card (NIN slip) — accepted. Must be clearly legible.
• Voter’s card — accepted. Photograph both sides.
• Driver’s license — accepted. Both sides required.

Proof of address

• Bank statement PDF — recommended. Download from your banking app.
• Utility bill — electricity (NEPA/PHCN), water, or waste management. Must show name and address.
• Tenancy agreement — must show your name, address, and a recent date.

All documents: issued within 3 months, full name and address visible.

2. Go to Account or Statements
3. Select the last 1-3 months
4. Download as PDF
5. Upload the file directly

Photo quality tips

Photo rejections are common. Follow these steps:

• Take photos in natural daylight — avoid dim rooms and direct flash
• Place the document on a flat, dark surface (not in your hand)
• Hold the camera directly above, not at an angle
• Make sure all text is readable — no blur, no shadows, no glare
• Do not crop out any edges of the document

If your NIN slip is faded or printed on low-quality paper, take extra care with lighting and focus.

Common issues in Nigeria

Photo quality rejected. This is the most frequent issue. Re-read the photo tips above. Use natural light, flat surface, camera directly above, entire document in frame.

Screenshots rejected. A screenshot of your banking app is not a document. Download the actual PDF statement.

Blurry NIN slip. Faded print on poor paper makes it hard to read. Use bright natural light and hold steady. If the slip is damaged, request a new one from the NIMC app or website.

Fingers or objects in the photo. Nothing should cover any part of the document. Lay it flat on a table — do not hold it.

Old documents. Only documents from the last 3 months are accepted. Download a fresh statement before uploading.
