Turkey: proof of address that actually gets approved
Download the free Yerleşim Yeri Belgesi from e-Devlet (turkiye.gov.tr) and upload the PDF.
What passes
- Yerleşim Yeri Belgesi (residence certificate) from e-Devlet at turkiye.gov.tr. It’s free, issues on the spot in your own name, and around 40% of approved applicants used it. Sign in with your e-Devlet credentials and save the certificate as a PDF.
- A gas or electricity bill from Aksa, TREPAŞ, İGDAŞ, or BEDAŞ, in your name.
- A bank statement from İş Bankası, Garanti, Akbank, or Ziraat, downloaded as a PDF showing your name and address.
Aim for something from the last 3 months or so. The e-Devlet certificate never expires, so it sidesteps that entirely.
What gets rejected
- A screenshot of your banking or utility dashboard. Download the actual PDF instead of photographing the app screen.
- A document in someone else’s name, or an address that doesn’t match your sign-up form.
If you’ve relocated
Living in Turkey on a foreign passport? A proof of address from your passport country works, as long as the address on it is where you live now.
